Segmental PT Systems: Ducting, Grouting & Long-Term Behaviour

Master ducting, grouting, and long-term performance of PT systems to ensure safe, durable segmental bridges.

About This Course

Post-tensioning systems are the backbone of segmental bridges—and when PT systems fail, the consequences are severe. This course provides a practical, field-driven understanding of duct installation, tendon alignment, anchorage zone detailing, grouting operations, venting, and long-term PT behaviour. Using real examples of good and bad practices, learners explore common issues such as void formation, corrosion risks, tendon blockage, cracking at deviators, PT losses, and leakage through joints. Ideal for designers, contractors, QA/QC teams, project managers, procurement specialists, maintenance engineers, sales teams, and students, the course equips participants to install, inspect, and maintain PT systems with confidence and durability in mind.
