Soil Investigation & Data Interpretation for Designers & Contractors

Learn how to plan, evaluate, and interpret soil investigations to support safe, reliable bridge design and construction decisions.

About This Course

This course gives engineers and construction professionals a clear, practical understanding of how soil investigations are planned, executed, and interpreted for bridge projects. Through real project examples and multidisciplinary insights, learners discover how boreholes, CPT/SPT tests, lab data, groundwater conditions, and soil variability shape foundation choices, construction feasibility, risk, and cost. The course is designed for designers, site engineers, contractors, QA/QC teams, project managers, procurement specialists, maintenance staff, and students who want to make confident, data-driven decisions. By the end, participants will know how to evaluate investigation quality, spot missing information, interpret soil parameters correctly, and use geotechnical data to support safe, efficient, and well-coordinated bridge projects.
